Commander Caleb Wines
Commanding Officer
CDR Caleb Wines enlisted in the Army Reserves from Dickinson, TX in 2000, deploying to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, while also attending Texas A&M University – Galveston. Upon graduation with a B.S. in Maritime Systems Engineering in 2006, he commissioned through Officer Candidate School.
After the initial training pipeline, his sea tours include USS New Jersey (SSN 796) as Engineer, USS Tennessee Gold (SSBN 734) as Strategic Weapons Officer, and USS Texas (SSN 775) as a Division Officer. His experience at sea includes a SOUTHCOM deployment, ICEX 2009, and 7 strategic deterrent patrols.
His tours ashore include assignments as Lead Submarine Inspector for the Board of Inspection and Survey, Officer in Charge for Strategic Programs Arduous Sea Duty Detachment, and Nuclear Officer Recruiter for Navy Recruiting Command.
Commander Wines’ personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal (4 awards), the Army Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3 awards), Army Achievement Medal (2 awards), as well as various other personal and unit awards.
