CMDCM (SS) Timothy Santel

Command Master Chief

CMDCM Santel was born and raised in Cincinnati OH. He enlisted in the Navy on 06 June 1996 and attended Basic Training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, IL. After completion of Basic Training, he attended Machinist Mate "A" and Torpedoman “C” schools.

In 1997, he reported to the USS Jefferson City (SSN 759) in San Diego, CA, where he qualified in Submarine Warfare. CMDCM Santel’s sea tours include the USS Emory S. Land (AS-39), USS Columbus (SSN 762), USS Charlotte (SSN-766), USS Bremerton (SSN-698), and USS Mississippi, where he completed his Chief of the Boat tour.

CMDCM’s shore tours include Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach Detachment San Diego, Commander Submarine Squadron ONE, Commander Submarine Squadron SEVEN, and Submarine Readiness Squadron THREE THREE.

His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (6), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (8), Navy Good Conduct Medal (9), and various campaign and individual awards.
