Lieutenant LaLanne, a native of Everett, Washington, enlisted in the U. S. Navy in February 1999 as an Aviation Electronics Technician (intermediate level). He served at various sea and shore commands as an enlisted Sailor. In 2009 Lieutenant LaLanne earned his commission through Officer Candidate School as a Supply Corps Officer.
Lieutenant LaLanne’s sea tours include the Disbursing Officer and Food Service Officer onboard the USS LEYTE GULF (CG 55) and the Supply Officer onboard the USS WHIDBEY ISLAND (LSD 41). Ashore, Lieutenant LaLanne as served as the Supply Officer/N4 for the Navy Expeditionary Intelligence Command. He has completed the Supply Officer Basic Qualification Course and the Supply Officer Department Head Course.
His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, along with numerous unit, campaign, and service awards. He is qualified Surface Warfare Supply Corps Officer.
