CDR Gieorag Andrews

Commanding Officer, USS Missouri (SSN 780)

Commander Gieorag M. Andrews is from Gardnerville, Nevada and graduated in 2005 from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.

From 2007 to 2009, CDR Andrews served his Division Officer tour on board USS Henry M. Jackson (SSBN 730) (Blue) in Bangor, Washington. During his time on board the boat completed recertification for strategic operations and three strategic deterrent patrols.

For his second sea tour he served as Engineer on board USS John Warner (SSN 785) in Norfolk, Virginia from 2013 to 2016. During this period John Warner completed new construction, at sea system certifications and returned to Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) for the Post Shakedown Availability.

For his third sea tour he served as Executive Officer on board USS Toledo (SSN 769) in Groton, Connecticut from 2018 to 2020. During this period Toledo completed a successful EUCOM deployment in 2019 and ICEX in 2020, earning the COMSUBRON TWELVE BATTLE “E” for 2019.

Ashore, CDR Andrews served as the Division Officer Shore Duty detailer at PERS 42 in Millington, Tennessee; completed a masters at the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island; served as the Executive Officer for the S8G Prototype in Ballston Spa, New York; and served as the Force Nuclear Power Officer for COMSUBPAC in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
