Frank Cable Sailors Volunteer at Portland Meals on Wheels

PORTLAND, Ore. (June 23, 2017) - Sailors from the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40) receive instructions from an employee at Meals on Wheels resource center in Portland, June 23.  The Sailors volunteered in the kitchen to help prepare food, package the meals, clean dishes and other various tasks. USS Emory S. Land Disbursing Officer Joins Submarine Force

(POLARIS POINT, Guam) May 23, 2017 -- Ens. Brittany Saulsberry, disbursing officer aboard submarine tender USS Emory S. Land (AS 39), opens the front panel of one of the ship’s Navy Cash devices. Saulsberry was recently selected to serve as a supply officer aboard submarines as part of the Women in Submarine Service program. Land and sister ship USS Frank Cable (AS 40) provide maintenance, hotel services, and logistical support to submarines and surface ships in the U.S. 5th and 7th Fleet areas of operation. iLab Roadshow Visits Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor

(April 27, 2017) Sonar Technician 2nd Class Andrew McFarland, assigned to Trident Training Facility (TTF) Bangor, tests the OceanLens, which uses an Oculus Rift virtual reality headset to create a 3D immersive environment for visualizing undersea topography, during the Innovation Lab (iLab) roadshow held at Trident Training Facility Bangor.
