USS Santa Fe Visits Singapore During Western Pacific Deployment

PEARL HARBOR (July 8, 2014) Crew members of the Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine USS Santa Fe (SSN 763) prepare to depart for the at-sea portion of Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) Exercise 2014. Twenty-two nations, more than 40 ships and submarines, about 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in Exercise RIMPAC from June 26 to Aug. 1 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain the cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans. USS Frank Cable Completes First Underway Replenishment in 10 Years

PACIFIC OCEAN (April 3, 2014)  Capt. Mark Benjamin, center right, commanding officer of the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), approves the course Frank Cable will take to rendezvous with the Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Cesar Chavez (T-AKE 14) to conduct an underway replenishment. This is the first underway replenishment for Frank Cable in ten years and will take on 280,000 gallons of fuel from Cesar Chavez. Frank Cable, forward deployed to the island of Guam, conducts maintenance and support of submarines and surface vessels deployed in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility and is on a scheduled underway period.
