CDR Michael Fisher
Commanding Officer, USS North Carolina (SSN 777)
CDR Fisher is a native of Sterling Heights, Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He also holds a Master of Engineering Management from Old Dominion University.
CDR Fisher served as Electrical Assistant, Damage Control Assistant, Assistant Combat Systems Officer, and Assistant Engineer on USS NORFOLK (SSN 714) during an engineered refueling overhaul and subsequent certifications. He also served on board NORFOLK as Navigator and Operations Officer and later as Engineer Officer. He was Executive Officer of USS BOISE (SSN 764) when the crew earned the Battle Efficiency "E" and a Navy Unit Commendation. He has completed three Central Command deployments.
Ashore, CDR Fisher served at NAVSEA PMS 392 providing in-service submarine support; on the Atlantic Fleet Nuclear Propulsion Examining Board; at Naval Reactors' "Line Locker" as the Assistant for Enlisted Plans, Policy, and Training; and most recently as the Deputy Commander for Readiness at Submarine Squadron ONE.
