
Cmdr. Jeremy J. Parm
Commanding Officer, USS Key West
Commander Jeb Parm enlisted in the Navy from Twin Lake, Ml in 1994. He was assigned as an Interior Communications Technician and completed "A" School and Basic Enlisted Submarine School (BESS) in Groton, CT. Following training, he was assigned to USS MONTPELIER (SSN 765), attended Electronics Technician "C" school and served onboard USS LOUISVILLE (SSN 724) before being selected for the NROTC Commissioning Program. CDR Parm earned his Bachelor's degree in Physics from Eastern Michigan University, and earned his commission in 2003.
After completion of the officer Nuclear Propulsion Program Pipeline Training in 2005, he was assigned to the USS SPRINGFIELD (SSN 761). Following his first sea tour, CDR Parm served on the staff of CTF 69 in Naples, Italy. While on shore duty, he completed his Masters in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University and attended the Naval War College. He was then assigned as the Navigator onboard USS OKLAHOMA CITY (SSN 723) and subsequently served as the Operations Officer for Submarine Squadron 15 in Guam. CDR Parm then served as the Executive Officer on USS OHIO (SSGN 726)(GOLD) and as the Executive Officer at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command.
His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal (Four Awards), the Navy Achievement Medal (Four Awards), and various personal and unit awards.
