Education

Primary and Secondary Education

Military dependent children, K-12, will attend the highly-praised Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Pacific schools while in Guam. These include Andersen Elementary and Middle Schools on Andersen Air Force Base, McCool Elementary and Middle Schools on Naval Base Guam and Guam High School.

DoDEA Pacific students attending Guam High School produced a video that highlights academic rigor, sports, specialty programs, and extra-curricular activities available to military-connected students attending DoDEA schools in Guam. Students affiliated with the Panther News Network studio and video communications class wrote, directed, filmed, and edited the video to introduce Guam Schools to the world.

DoDEA Pacific operates 45 schools in 3 Districts located in 2 countries, and one territory across 3 time zones. DoDEA's mission is to educate, engage, and empower military connected communities to succeed in a dynamic world.

Adult Education

Navy Base Guam and Andersen Air Force Base education offices offer various degree programs for undergraduate studies. Military personnel may take tests to obtain their GED, ACT, and SAT at the Naval Base Guam Navy College. In addition, military personnel and their dependents may go to the University of Maryland on Naval Base Guam to take the CLEP and DSST; being a student of the University of Maryland is not necessary.
