
Master Chief Michael Rodriguez

Master Chief Rodriguez is a native of Chicago, Illinois. He enlisted in the Navy in 1998 completing basic training and Hospital Corpsman “A” School at Great Lakes, Illinois. He holds a Master of Science in Leadership from Trident University International and is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Chief of the Boat/Command Master Chief Capstone Course, and the Advanced Command Master Chief Course.
At sea, Rodriguez’s assignments include 3RD Medical Battalion, 3RD Force Service Support Group in Okinawa, Japan; USS KEY WEST (SSN 722) homeported in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; and USS FLORIDA (SSGN 728) (GOLD) in Kings Bay, Georgia. He served as Chief of the Boat on USS CHARLOTTE (SSN 766) in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
His shore duty assignments include Naval Hospital Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Instructor and Program Manager for the Independent Duty Corpsman and Undersea Medical Officer courses at Naval Undersea Medical Institute Groton, Connecticut; Senior Immediate Supervisor in Charge at Submarine Readiness Squadron THREE THREE in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and Trident Training Facility Bangor Command Master Chief.
He reported to Commander Submarine Squadron 19 as Command Master Chief in June 2025.
As a result of the outstanding individuals and teams with which he has served, Master Chief Rodriguez is authorized to wear the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), and various campaign and unit citations.
