Commanding Officer

CAPT Nate FeezorCAPT Nate Feezor is a career intelligence officer that has served in a wide range of Fleet assignments. After completing an undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management from Arkansas State University, he was commissioned in 2002 through Navy Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida. His previous tours of duty include serving as a watch officer at Naval Ocean Processing Facility Dam Neck conducting theater anti-submarine warfare against high-end adversaries, as a SUPPLOT Officer and Intelligence Division Officer during two deployment cycles aboard USS GEORGE WASHINGTON, as a counter-terrorism analyst at COMUSNAVCENT / 5th Fleet, as Chief of Northeast Asia and WMD intelligence plans at USPACOM responsible for supporting eight CONPLANs, as the CAG AI for Carrier Airwing EIGHT during its 2014 combat deployment aboard USS GEORGE H.W. BUSH, as the Director of Intelligence Operations and Analysis for Fleet Forces Command Maritime Intelligence Operations Center, and as the XO and senior instructor for Intelligence and Space Operations for Information Warfare Training Group Norfolk. Nate completed a tour as the N2 and Deputy IWC for Carrier Strike Group TEN through a 2020 deployment aboard USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER followed by a workup cycle on USS GEORGE H.W. BUSH. He then served as the N2 for Carrier Strike Group FOUR responsible for providing integrated training in major combat operations to all LANT-based Carrier Strike Groups, Amphibious Readiness groups, and independently-deploying surface combatants. Nate then served as XO of Theater Undersea Surveillance Command Atlantic until becoming the Commanding Officer there on 10 January 2025.

In 2010, CAPT Feezor completed a graduate degree in National Security Affairs at Naval Postgraduate School with a specialty in East Asia studies. Nate has been a Joint Qualified Officer (JQO) since 2015. In addition to extensive leadership and OPINTEL experience both afloat and ashore as an Information Warfare Officer, he is also an Integrated Undersea Surveillance Systems officer, a SUBFOR-designated Theater Undersea Warfare officer, a DIA-certified intelligence planner with experience in both contingency and crisis-action planning, a graduate of the Navy ISR afloat manager school as well as the Naval War College Maritime Staff Operations Course, a qualified Joint Targeteer with combat experience in both deliberate and dynamic strikes, and a Navy Space Cadre member.

CAPT Feezor is currently serving as the Commanding Officer of Theater Undersea Surveillance Command Atlantic at Dam Neck, Virginia. This coalition command comprised of 375 U.S., U.K. and Canadian personnel supports global undersea warfare operations against high-end adversary submarine and surface threats.

CAPT Feezor’s personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3 awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2 awards).
