CDR Kenneth Myrick II

NOPFDN Executive Officer

CDR Kenneth MyrickCommander Myrick is a native of Stringer, MS. He graduated from Stringer High School in 1989 and enlisted in the Navy’s Nuclear Power Training Pipeline. Commander Myrick holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Thomas Edison State College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Limestone College. He received his commission through the Naval Reserve Direct Commission Officer Program in 2001 as a Naval Reserve Intelligence Officer. Commander Myrick returned to active Duty as an Intelligence Full Time Support Officer in October 2003 and converted to an active duty Intelligence Officer in March 2008. He earned a Master of Science degree in Space Systems Operations from Naval Postgraduate School Monterey, CA in September 2011 and a Master of Science degree in National Resource Strategy from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy in June 2018.

Afloat, Commander Myrick served as Engineering Laboratory Technician in USS CASIMIR PULASKI (SSBN 633) and USS GURNARD (SSN 662) and as leading Engineering Laboratory Technician in USS DRUM (SSN 677). As an officer, He served as Intelligence Officer (N2) for Commander Destroyer Squadron Twenty-Two where he completed a seven-month deployment with THEODORE ROOSEVELT Carrier Strike Group; He served as the Senior Intelligence Officer and Intelligence Department Head in USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN CVN-72 where he completed a ten-month around the world deployment.

Ashore, Commander Myrick served as an instructor at Naval Nuclear Prototype Charleston where he qualified as Engineering Officer of the Watch and Engineering Duty Officer. As an Officer, he has served: as Targeting Officer at Joint Intelligence Command, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), during which time he deployed to CENTCOM Forward Headquarters in Qatar for Operation Iraqi Freedom; as Russian Maritime Section Chief at Joint Analyses Center, U.S. European Command, RAF Molesworth; as Assistant Deputy Director for Intelligence and Deputy Executive Assistant to the Director for Intelligence on the Joint Chiefs of Staff Directorate for Intelligence (J2); as Executive Assistant to the Director National Maritime Intelligence-Integration Office and Commander Office of Naval Intelligence; and as Deputy Officer-in-Charge for Chief of Naval Operations – Intelligence Plot.

CDR Myrick relieved as Executive Officer of NOPF Dam Neck on 2 July 2020.
