French submarine deployment to Western Pacific presents rare training opportunity for Guam-based boat

WATERS OFF GUAM (Dec. 11, 2020) The French Navy Rubis-class nuclear powered submarine (SSN) Émeraude steams off the coast of Guam during a photo exercise with the Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Asheville (SSN 758). Asheville and Émeraude practiced high-end maritime skills in a multitude of disciplines designed to enhance interoperability between maritime forces. USS Topeka Arrives in Hawaii for Change of Homeport

PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii (Dec. 15, 2020) - The Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Topeka (SSN 754) arrives in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, after completing a change of homeport from Guam, Dec. 15. Topeka’s ability to support a multitude of missions, including anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface ship warfare, strike warfare, surveillance and reconnaissance, has made Topeka one of the most capable submarines in the world.
