CMDCM (SS)  Michael E. Quick

Master Chief Quick is a native of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and a graduate of Fort Walton Beach High School.

He enlisted in the United States Navy August 1991 and attended Boot Camp in Great Lakes Illinois.

He completed the Torpedoman "A" School and Submarine Torpedo Tube Maintenance in 1992. His at-sea assignments include USS NARWHAL (SSN 671), USS KENTUCKY (SSBN 737) (GOLD), and the USS COLUMBUS (SSN-762).

Master Chief Quick’s shore tours include Trident Refit Facility Kings Bay GA, Commander Submarine Squadron 17, and Commander Submarine Squadron 20, where was qualified into the Chief of the Boat (COB) program.

His first COB tour was aboard USS MARYLAND (SSBN 738) in June 2013 as the Chief of the Boat during an Engineering Refueling Overhaul at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Eighteen months later was chosen to relocate back to Kings Bay for a Major Command tour aboard USS FLORIDA (SSGN-728) (GOLD) until March 2016.

His personal awards include Meritorious Service Metal, Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy Achievement Medal (five awards), and Good Conduct Award (seven awards) and various individual and unit awards.
