Command Master Chief

CMDCM John J. MooreMaster Chief Moore was born in Birmingham, Alabama. He enlisted in the Navy in June 1988 and received recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Orlando, Florida. He is a graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy and attended the COB/CMC course.

His sea duty assignments include, USS GEORGE C. MARSHALL (SSBN 654), USS PINTADO (SSN 672), USS FLORIDA (SSBN 728), USS HOUSTON (SSN 713), USS CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI (SSN 705), USS MAINE (SSBN 741) and most recently as Chief of the Boat in USS PENNSYLVANIA SSBN 735(B).

His shore duty assignments include INTERMEDIATE MAINTENANCE FACILITY PACIFIC NORTHWEST Shop 38C and Code 700 Quality Assurance Instructor.

CMDCM Moore is currently serving as the Command Master Chief of Naval Ocean Processing Facility, Whidbey Island.

His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (nine awards), and numerous campaign and unit commendations.
