USS Henry M. Jackson Gold Crew Conducts Change of Command At Sea

SILVERDALE, Wash. - Cmdr. Matthew Freniere and Cmdr. Jason Glab salute Capt. Charles McLenithan, commodore, Submarine Squadron 17 during a change of command ceremony for Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine USS Henry M. Jackson (SSBN 730) Gold crew July 19. Freniere was properly relieved as commanding officer by Cmdr. Jason Glab during the ceremony held aboard USS Henry M. Jackson (SSBN 730) while underway. This event demonstrated how the Navy and its strategic forces are thinking, acting and operating differently to meet deterrent mission tasking while simultaneously executing necessary ship lifecycle events. U.S. Pacific Submarine Force Participates in Exercise Agile Dagger 21

JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM (June 2, 2021) -- Sailors assigned to the Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Columbia (SSN 771) load a Mark 48 advanced capability torpedo for Exercise Agile Dagger 2021 (AD21). AD21 is a training exercise, with one-third of the Pacific Submarine Force getting underway, to assess warfighting readiness and build capacity for the joint force.
