NAVAL BASE KITSAP – BANGOR, Wash. (Nov. 6, 2024) Rear Adm. Thomas Wall, right, salutes Vice Adm. Robert Gaucher, commander, Naval Submarine Forces, while assuming duties and responsibilities as commander, Submarine Group (SUBGRU) 9 in a ceremony at Naval Base Kitsap – Bangor, Nov. 6, 2024. SUBGRU-9 exercises administrative control authority for assigned submarine commands and units in the Pacific Northwest providing oversight for shipboard training, personnel, supply and material readiness of SSBNs and their crews.
