Master Chief Timothy R. Glazner was born in Blue Ridge, Georgia and raised in Lexington, North Carolina. He enlisted in the Navy in September of 1998 and completed basic training in Great Lakes, Illinois, Basic Submarine School and Torpedo (A) and (C) school in Groton, Connecticut.

His sea duty assignments include USS Greeneville (SSN 772) (Torpedoman), USS Michigan (SSGN 727 Blue) (CPO/DEPT CPO), USS Henry M. Jackson (SSBN 730 Gold) (3MC), and USS Nevada (SSBN 733 Blue) (Chief of the Boat). Ashore he was assigned to Naval Submarine Training Center Pacific as an Instructor, Commander Submarine Squadron Nineteen Staff, and Trident Refit Facility Bangor Command Master Chief.

Master Chief Glazner is a graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy and the Command Master Chief/ Chief of the Boat Capstone course in Newport, Rhode Island.

His personal awards include: Meritorious Service Medal (Two Awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (Three Awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (Six Awards) and various unit awards.
