Executive Officer

Commander Antonio Barcelos, a native of Turlock, California enlisted in the Navy in 1996 and attended the Basic and Advanced Electronics/Computer Field Training in Great Lakes, Illinois. He advanced to Electronics Technician First Class Petty Officer in 2003 and commissioned as a Surface Electronics Limited Duty Officer in 2006.

Commander Barcelos’ Operational tours include USS JOHN S. MCCAIN (DDG 56), USS JOHN P. JONES (DDG 53), USS MOBILE BAY (CG 53), USS GARY (FFG 51), and USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76)/ USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73)/ USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN 71) as part of the three-carrier hull swap in 2015. He returned to USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN 71) in January 2019, where he served as the Combat Systems Maintenance Officer (CSMO).

Ashore tours include Center for Surface Combat Systems (CSCS), Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Center, and SPAWAR Systems Center Pacific (SSC PAC). He qualified as AEGIS TAO, OOD, AAW, and additional fleet watch officer qualifications. He is designated as Surface Warfare Officer, Information Warfare Officer, Master Training Specialist, DAWIA Project Management Level I, and has a M.A. Degree in Management from the University Of Redlands School Of Business.

Military awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy-Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy-Marine Corp Achievement Medal (four awards), and various unit awards and campaign medals.
