POLARIS POINT, Guam (April 5, 2016) – Boatswain's Mate 1st Class Michael Richmond, left, a native of Dallas, Texas, assigned to the Emory S. Land-class submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), teaches Personnel Specialist 3rd Class John Paul Delossantos, center, a native of Glendale, Arizona, how to operate a Naval Firefighter Thermal Imager while engulfed in mock smoke in the ship's carpenter shop during a fast cruise, April 5.  The fast cruise trains Sailors in damage control, personnel accountability and various emergency situations preparing them for underway at-sea operations.  Frank Cable, forward deployed to the island of Guam, conducts maintenance and support of submarines and surface vessels deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
