Lieutenant Eric A. Ehley
LT Ehley was born in Cheyenne, WY on 13 April 1975 and raised in Las Vegas, NV. He graduated from Shelby County High School in June 1993.
He enlisted in the Navy on 12 July 1993 and attended Basic Training at Recruit Training Command Orlando, FL. After completion of Basic Training he attended YN "A" School in Meridian, MS, followed by Basic Enlisted Submarine School in Groton, CT.
In March 1994, he reported to the USS BUFFALO (SSN 715) at Pearl Harbor, HI, where he served as a Junior YN and qualified in Submarine Warfare. While onboard he completed two Western Pacific Deployments.
In March 2007, he transferred to Commander Submarine Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet (COMSUBPAC) in Pearl Harbor, HI where he served as a Pass Liaison Representative and Staff TAD Coordinator.
In May 2000, he reported onboard the USS PENNSYLVANIA (SSBN 735) as a Junior YN. Upon completion of his tour he reported onboard the USS MARYLAND (SSBN 738) in 2003 as the Leading Yeoman. During these tours he completed a combined seven Strategic Deterrent Patrols.
In January 2005 he reported to Naval Submarine Support Command Pearl Harbor, HI as the Submarine Manning Monitor and ADMIN/Personnel Officer. While on Staff he was selected as NSSC and COMSUBPAC Hawaii Region Sailor of the Year. During his tour he volunteered for an IA assignment to Joint Special Operations Task Force-Philippines where he served as a Military Liaison at the U.S. Embassy in Manila. In September 2007 he was selected to Chief Petty Officer.
In January 2009 he reported to SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team ONE in Pearl Harbor, HI as the Administrative/Personnel Officer where he was selected for commissioning under the LDO/CWO Program.
In May 2010 he was commissioned and served onboard the USS NIMITZ (CVN 68) until 2013 as the Educational Services Officer and Ship's Secretary.
In April 2013 he reported to Navy Personnel Command, Millington, TN where he served as the Submarine and Nuclear Power Rating Assignments Officer for PERS-403 until his transfer in May 2015.
In June 2015 he reported as the Executive Officer of Naval Submarine Support Command, Pearl Harbor, HI where he is currently serving.
His personal awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (7), Navy Good Conduct Medal (5), and various campaign awards.
