Deputy, Priority Material Office

Mr. Travis Dvorak currently serves as Deputy, Priority Material Office (PMO), headquartered in Bremerton, WA. PMO, comprised of approximately one hundred Military and Civilian personnel operating from 12 global locations, provides full spectrum material management and information for Issue Priority Group One requisitions for all Submarine and Surface forces as well as deployable Marine and Coast Guard units.

A native of Iowa, he graduated in 1992 from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics. Mr. Dvorak enlisted in the United States Navy later that year and completed Nuclear Power Training as an Electronics Technician at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command, Goose Creek, South Carolina. He completed his active service in the US Navy in 2001 after serving tours as an Electronics Technician/Reactor Operator on Submarine NR-1, USS Grayling (SSN 646) and USS Nevada (SSBN 733).

As a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Mr. Dvorak spent from 2001 to 2005 as a contracted Information Technology Systems Administrator and Network Engineer for the In-Service Engineering & Integrated Logistics Services Department of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Keyport.

He started his Civil Service career in 2005 as an Information Technology Specialist, working for PMO on the Integrated Supply Information System (ISIS). Prior to converting to a Supply Management Officer and accepting his current position in 2010, Mr. Dvorak became the IT Director for PMO in 2008. He successfully completed projects to launch the solely web based, fully accredited Requisition Management application Prime, and move all hardware based application hosting services from PMO to the SPAWAR Data Center in San Diego.
