Captain Harry Ganteaume

Captain Harry GanteaumeAt sea, Captain Ganteaume has served as Division Officer onboard USS RAY (SSN 653) in Charleston, SC, as Engineer Officer onboard USS NEBRASKA (SSBN 739)(BLUE) in King’s Bay, GA, as Executive Officer onboard USS LOS ANGELES (SSN 688) in Pearl Harbor, HI and as Commanding Officer of USS SEAWOLF (SSN 21) from April 2007 to February 2010. His submarine command tour included a change of homeport from Groton, CT to Bremerton, WA. Throughout his submarine tours he completed five overseas deployments, two of which were in the Western Pacific, and five strategic deterrent patrols. He most recently commanded Submarine Squadron ONE in Pearl Harbor, HI.

His shore duty assignments include Shift Engineer at the Nuclear Power Training Unit in Charleston, SC, SEVENTH Fleet Operations Staff (N3) in Yokosuka, Japan, Strategic Planning and Policy staff (J5) at the U.S. Pacific Command, Submarine Group SEVEN Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations in Yokosuka Japan and Director, Training, Tactical Development & Doctrine at Submarine Forces, U.S. Pacific Fleet.

He is a graduate of the Naval War College, where he was awarded a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies.
