2005 Scholarship Award

The third award of the Dr. Waldo Lyon Scholarship was made on Friday April 22, 2005 to Ms. Alexandra Lampert. The first undergraduate student to receive the award, Alex is a Junior majoring in Physics with a minor in Philosophy. She has wide interests in both scientific and humanistic endeavors and, after graduating from UCLA, aspires to either attend graduate school and pursue a PhD in Astrophysics or attend law school. She is a member of the Mortar Board Honors Society and the Regents Scholar Society; and, as part of the latter’s outreach campaign, serves each year as a mentor to graduating high school seniors. She also is a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority and serves on their executive council as Public Relations Vice President.
